Step One - Character Background

All characters automatically start with the background of Pilot Trained and choose four more to determine starting skills, enhancements, and other bonuses. A character may defer Pilot Trained for another background pick with the approval of the GM, but this can complicate the player's ability to freely travel, and is not suitable for all campaigns.
