Session 25: China Part 1

• The characters travelled overland to Mombassa, and via a series of ocean liners from there to Shanghai
• They decided to stay in the Palace Hotel, along the bund, and stored their belongings in the hotel room
• They met with Captain Isoge Taro, an agent of the Japanese government, and a known contact of Muragi. He is investigating rumors of some type of new weapon under development in Shanghai.
• Captain Isoge is looking for Jack Brady, who he believes is involved
• He is also aware of the militant group (Led by Cho Min) that Brady is known to be associating with, who seems to have plans for Grey Dragon Island
• The party travels to the Stumbling Tiger Bar, where they meet with the owner, McChum, who lies to them, saying that Brady is out of town
• The party is picked up by agents of Madam Lin, who overheard them asking about Brady
• Madam Lin seeks the recovery of The Seven Cryptical Books of Hasan, which Brady stole from her
• Madam Lin invites Eligah to dine with her the following day
• Madam Lin informs the party that Ho Fang, the high priest of the Order of the Bloated Woman is also looking for Brady, and that the Order uses Grey Dragon Island as a sort of base of operations
• Madam Link also informed them that Brady is definitely still hiding in Shanghai, and the militant group is the Firm Action wing of the New China group, and is particuarly violent
• The party agrees to recover the scrolls for Madam Lin
• The party confronted McChum, and he confirmed that Brady has gone to ground, because he knows hes being hunted by Ho Fang
• The party visits the Shanghai Courier, and gets information on three stories: The Seamna's Club partially collapsed, a brutal murder in a flower*girl house, and a terrible fire that killed three monks
