Asteron
Lawful Good Minotaur Paladin
Origins
Asteron was born to a small mountain clan, living in the frozen mountains of Northern Antilla. There, his people worshiped the sun god, Pelor, known to them as Sondag.
Upbringing
Asteron was raised was raised as a warrior of his people, to channel the rage of his bestial nature into a purifying light. Every day was a challenge, either against the Frost Giants which rule those mountains, or against the harsh climate. Through it all, faith in Sondag kept his people warm and the darkness of the Horned King at bay.
That changed two years ago, when the Great Wyrm Eirasarff awakened from his centuries long sleep. The dragon quickly enslaved the Frost Giants, and set about laying claim to much of the surrounding area. Asteron's people resisted, and were annihilated for their efforts. Asteron alone escaped, fleeing the only home he had ever known.
Current Day
Today, Asteron journey's through the lands of men, looking for two things. The first: skill, gold, and magic power, the means by which to avenge his murdered people. Second: Companions, to aid him in the coming battle.
Character
Brave, strong, and honorable, but a dark streak in his apparent avarice for gold and power. His need for revenge drives him, and often tempts him to stray from the proper path. Combined with his natural ferocity and bloodthirst, the tenants of Pelor are becoming harder and harder for him to obey.
