Origins:

Sora's origins are largely unknown. He was found in a cave in the side of Mount Harmonia, in Virrir. The man who found him was Father Balian II, a priest of the church of Bahamut. Balian found the resemblance between the young dragonling and Bahamut striking; not only did he have silver-white scales and blue eyes, but his breath was as cold as ice.

Balian took the dragon-child and raised him as a son, teaching him the ways of Bahamut and revering him as a gift from the Dragon-God.


Upbringing:

Sora was raised with the utmost respect for the ideals of Bahamut. From a young age, he was told he was an avatar of Bahamut; a physical representation of the Dragon-God. He would never lift a finger on any creature, and was strictly disapproving of any evil or foul acts.

Throughout adolescence, he found many different callings in and around Virrir, helping the downtrodden and weak in the process.

When he was sixteen, Balian approched Sora and explained that it was time he learn to fight. Sora was confused, believing that violence was strictly forbidden. Balian explained that, while violence was a last resort, sometimes it was the only way to protect those who could not protect themselves. He told Sora many tales of enslaved villagers, burned hovels, slain peasants...all of whom could have been saved if someone, anyone, had been more vigilant and able.

Sora accepted and understood this reality. He spent the next five years training with Balian, learning to become a protector of good; a defender of all.


Current day:

Now an adult, Sora continues his mission of protection, serving as a knight of Bahamut.
